Sunday April 19th this year, Justin Shronk passed at the age of 27. The cause of the death was a health problem he battled in recent years. The funeral is going to be this Saturday in his hometown Bridgeport, Pennsylvania.

Justin was a very clever guy and a fixture among poker’s “new media” breed. Recently he began to work at the growing and popular site PokerRoad, and beside that he worked also at Bluff, CardPlayer and, of course at PokerNews.

Justin ShronkAt PokerNews he worked as multimedia director for an extended period. At the end when he already didn’t work anymore for PokerNews, he still stayed a part of the PokerNews family and he even was a kind of “Shoutbox” staple during all live events.
For PokerNews he was a very important part, he helped the company grow and is always going to be remembered for his impressive production skills and his sense of humor and flair.

Many persons from PokerNews spent some nice words for Justin and so did also John Caldwell, former PokerNews.com Editor-in-Chief. He said that now that Justin is gone, the poker world lost a friend, a fan and a supporter.

Besides, he claimed that every day he spent with Justin Shronk was a happy day, because Justin had an amazing sense of humour and everyone who would just pass by Justin’s office, at least would have a great laugh.
But of course he wasn’t just this funny person first of all he had brilliant ideas and was a great worker.
